The Lissenden Players

Traditional Music Hall Entertainment

The Lissenden Players

HISTORY:

This talented group was based in Highgate in North London, where they had been performing traditional Music Hall shows for over forty years.

Their shows had been at the Highgate Literary and Scientific Instiitution in Pond Square (11 South Grove).,and earlier at Lauderdale House.

They produced a monthly show (usually) on the third Wednesday of the month — (except in August & December), each month with a change of cast and programme.

They have also performed in theatres as far afield as the Georgian Theatre in Richmond (N.Yorkshire), The Station Theatre in Hayling Island, Wyllyotts in Potters Bar, Hoxton Hall in Shoreditch,  and for the British Music Hall Society at the Central Conference Centre in Islington.

Unfortunately after Covid, audiences were smaller and not enough to cover the hall hire costs, and it has now decided not to continue.
